Metadata
Most Decentri objects have a metadata parameter. You can use this parameter to add additional structured data to objects as key-value pairs. You can use this parameter to attach key-value data to these objects.
You can specify up to 50 keys, with key names up to 40 characters long and values up to 500 characters long.
You can use metadata to store additional, structured information on an object. For example, you can use metadata to store your system’s unique user identifier on a Decentri Identity or Holder object, enabling direct integration between your platform and Decentri’s ecosystem. Decentri doesn’t use metadata and it won’t be seen by your users unless you choose to show it to them.
Don’t store any sensitive information (bank account numbers, card details, and so on) as metadata.
Metadata can be added to an object upon creation as well as on update. Partial updates are not currently supported on metadata and therefore the full set of key-value pairs must be provided on update.
